Seems slow here, with the number of vehicles I saw parked along the road I figured I would have at least heard a shot by now.
I am. Nothing moving.
I guess the rain and the warm temperatures slowed them down today
My brother is hunting in my morning stand, however, he didn't get into it until about 7:45. I think he got in too late, but he is there with a wet butt and I'm at the house. He works all week, so he has to go when he can. I'm not heading out until Mon-Tue and may stalk the woods with the high winds if they are blowing right way. Toss on the leaf suit and look like a bush.
Been out here the last few days.. very heart pumping morning to say the least. Had a buck blow at me 100 yards away.. he came in 20 min later 30 yards from me. Ended up being a nice 8 pt but tree was in the way of a clean shot. 15 minutes later I see 2 more small bucks and a Doe 75 yard out in the thickness. They had my heart pumping like crazy..,

Brother took a shot at a buck. He said it jumped and then casually walked away. He waited 90 minutes and then looked for 2 hours and didn't find anything. Not his first wiff.
