Cold as Nanci Pelosis bedside manner out there.
Really wish I was in the woods as I’ve seen more rutting activity yesterday than I have all season.
I’ll probably go out tonight.

They were definitely chasing here in Dahlonega but a poacher ruined a shot for me last night.

Good luck .

I slipped in for the last hour and a half yesterday and had what I thought was a 2.5 yr old 8 point, but when he get 12 yards from me he really looked like a 1.5 yr old. The spike had a more mature body than him. But there’s a couple alot bigger than him. If he don’t survive I hope he’s my daughters first deer by end of season. I’m back at it this morning surprisingly with a gun since I wasn’t prepared to go this morning and don’t have my truck with my bow in it.

So interesting night Monday in the woods.
I was able to get within ten feet of bedded buck that was in a bed I found after I made a mock scrape earlier in the season.
I’ve been peeing in the scrape every hunt and it worked.
It was a four point with a big body.
He came back last half hour of daylight and Inlet him walk to grow up a bit.
Hear deer running around pretty well up until dark.
I decided to take a walk where the poacher went last night and I found the dead die he was too lazy to look for.

The guy was too lazy to cross the small creek and take a walk around.
All I did was cross the creek and looked for the path of least resistance.
I found some kicked up tracks and followed them 50 yards into a grown over logging trail and there she was in the middle of the path.
Looked like an animal chewed on her a little.
My phone was in my Jeep so no pics.

I really wish I could be in the woods this morning….the sky is incredible for deer hunting and I know today is gonna be a big day for hunters.
I saw 11 deer in a nearby field calm as ever next to the road.
This lighting just has the deer all fluffy and mellow.
