Okay, I got a fun topic to talk about. the so called "apocalypse" is suppose to happen on 12-21-2012 according to the Mayan Calender. I just want to hear from any of you on what you think is going to happen and what you have plan on doing if it does happen. The Mayans claim it is just a "new beginning " and others at say that the planets aligning is gonna create a gravitational shift and destroy the Earth.. I've seen a overwhelming amount of people going to the extreme and going as far as to having a bug out shelter with enough supplies to last a couple months. I just want I hear from you guys what you would do if the sh@t hit the fan on that day. If you weren't prepared, what would you do first, where would you go, what is important etc....

Should probably be a Survival or Area 51 topic.... but if I survive the Election in November, I think I can handle a planetary alignment.
Don't plan to change much around here. And if it all went to hell, I'd keep the family out of sight and we'd stay put until there was no more food or water- then there'd be some decisions to make.

I think anyone who isnt prepping to some extent is crazy. Im not saying build a bunker for doomsday, but be ready for an emergency. natural disaster, economic crash, BAD gas shortage, anything. The Yellow Stone super caldera is 50K years over due and when it goes hello new ice age. Hell in 1909 there was a solar flare that emited an EMP big enough to send us back to the 1800s in seconds but the only thing it effected back then was the telegraph system. Again im not some doomsday nut, im just aware of the world I live in and how unstable it is. I have a wife and daughter and my only purpose on Earth is to make sure they are safe and healthy. I keep 2 months or more of food, water, meds and other necessities. Some may call it paranoid, others call it prepared. It all comes down to the same reason why most of us carry. "Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it".
