Lotta rain this weekend. Makes for a good opportunity to get in there quiet. Being in there when it stops raining for 30 minutes or an hour is some of the best hunting. At least it seems that way to me.

Thx for the advice! I'll try it.Wool socks, loose boots, and stuff a hand warmer down your sock near your ankle. Your toes might still get a little cold but it makes a HUGE difference.
I did this yesterday with super light tennis shoes and my feet were fine. Wasn’t planning on wearing them, but my rubber boots got rained in and were still wet inside, and I didn’t discover this until I drove 40 minutes to hunt. Lol.
That is a superb buck in your avatar. Did you kill him up our way?Anybody out? Nice cold morning. I’m sitting in a tree on WMA property this morning.

This gives me hope, can't seem to get past mediocre 8's here, though I feel there should be the occasional deer like yours walk by. Have a rub on my ridge that is of a size a real bruiser should have made it. Need more trail cams.Yes sir, Chattooga Co.
They are around. I’ve seen some monsters killed in Floyd, Walker, Chattooga this year. My little cousin killed this one week or so ago. He is a Swamp Donkey for sure! This gives me hope, can't seem to get past mediocre 8's here, though I feel there should be the occasional deer like yours walk by.
