Hmm. The rain fly looks awesome!
Last time I went camping, Scout and I stayed in my Eureka Midori 3. A large group was staying in the two adjacent sites in your basic big-box store dome tents. Had thunderstorms all night. The next day, one of the guys from the other camp walked by and said they got soaked during the night. I said I didn't notice if we had water in the tent (we didn't).
Don't skimp on your tent.

I would think it would make a great shelter for a roadside emergency if needed.

Read the q&a at the bottom of the page as there were a number of people not very satisfied. One guy says there is a Colman of similar size for a little more money but much better quality. If this is just for dicking around the backyard it might work. But, if you want something for an emergency or camping spend the extra cash on something that will hold up.
Literally looks like sewn together 3 mil tarp pieces.
I'd rather just light a $20 bill on fire.
