nabbed this today...off Buds....this is a stock photo...mine will not be here for a few days...BUT...excited!!!
In 2011 Colt Defense Delivered a 1000 gun contract of M45A1's to the Marine Raiders and Force Reconnaissance. After a few months, Colt released an updated finish which was ION-bonded, rather than the baked on/powder coat like finish of the originals. Colt took back the originals in exchange and then decommissioned by lasering an X through the USMC rollmark and then selling them in a raffle to the public in 2012. First time they've sold a decommissioned military issued gun to the public in nearly 50yrs. Of the 1000, 470 were used and 530 were new. They all came with the military cardboard box and 1 or 2 Wilson Combat mags. I snagged up this one around 2019. Just pulled it out of the safe this morning, snapped some pics and played around in Photoroom adding the Afghanistan background. Images turned out great considering the 15min invested!

1966 GCNM fresh from the Ceracoter…this gun was modified when I got it, and the original blue was long gone…
just picked up this pair of grips from Dan Chinnock....
