1911 Porn-Let's See What You Got

Little bit of backyard trigger time with this ol' girl after work. Such a smooth shooter.

I built these out last year using 80pct frames that I completed.

The MEUSOC pistol started as a project that I'd slowly collected parts for over the years and I couldn't bear the thought of using a real GI frame for what essentially was a clone. So I bought the 80pct frame and had it lasered as a GI model;

The MEUSOC model top half was built by Dave Berryhill and is correct with the exception of the barrel. While a semi-fit Bar-Sto would be correct, the Springfield NM barrel shoots really well and I didn't want to "undo" what Dave did.

- Correct timeframe/marked Springfield slide
- Springfield NM barrel
- USMC PWS rear sight
- Millett front sight
- Colt Commander Hammer
- King's 201A Ambi-Safety
- Clark Beavertail grip safety
- Wilson Combat 3-hole trigger
- Issued Pachmayer grip
- all parts stamped with serial # where applicable
- Pictured with issued Wilson Combat 10rnd mag

The "GI model" was made from all GI parts and allowed for a cheaper, plain jane GI model than what the CMP was selling. It's probably got the nicest slide to frame fit though of any GI model I've seen :D

I traded out of my TRP a few weeks back, leaving a hole in my 1911 spread.

Just snagged a new DW Specialist Commander in .45 today, bringing balance to the collection once again. 😁

.45 Auto: DW Specialist 4.25" ('22)
10mm: Colt Delta Elite ('87)
9mm: DW Specialist 5" ('21)

Man I’ve wanted one of of those Deltas for years.

Same same. Even the new production ones have all but dried up, but I was keeping my fingers crossed for an early example and lucked out a few weeks back. It isn't mint, little surface corrosion here and there that I cleaned up, but I love it to pieces! Definitely due for some fresh springs throughout.
