Figured I'd finally contribute to this thread. The only ones I have now are the Colt and the Para Expert Carry. I should have kept those parkerized Springfields and the Safari Arms for sure. I don't even wanna think about it...
 
Just love the 1911 right now. Ignored it for many years but saw the light recently. Pics show my progression through this obsession.
1). SA Range Officer. Polished externals, FLGR, Fitted bushing, contending with awful c-kote job. About a 2.5lb trigger.

2). Para Expert. I love this gun. All Wilson Combat Internals, polished to a mirror finish. Slick as glass. 3lb. trigger, Ed Brown MagWel, EGW Ball head disconnector, VZ Grips, 17# mainspring, fitted Wilson Bushing.

3). Charles Daly 1911. No longer in production. My test bench so to speak. Did the VHT flame proof coating, replaced the fire control group, Strike Industries grips, checkering front strap is next project.
