My next build coming along.
It's an STI frame with a Tactical Solutions .22 upper. Comes pre-threaded and has an optics rail built into the slide.
Just got it back from Daryl at Gunslinger customs, he did the slide to frame machining and cut down the LDC to match the upper.
I can't wait to get the internals fitted and get this thing out to the range!

Not so much the 1911, but finally after searching forever, I found one of those old 1911 carbine kits. Installed it on one of my Springfields. The MSH came undrilled, so had to have that drilled out and the rail on the MSH had to be cut a little wider and deeper for the stock to work properly. It came with 2 old school 16rd metal magazines, but neither function reliably, but 10rd chip mags work fine. Brings the noise way down and the recoil is more like a 9mm.
