S&W Performance Center 1911

Been doing a little research on the Briley Spherical Bushing. Anyone got any experience with one of these?

My S&W performance center 1911 has one its supposed to be super duper at increasing accuracy. I couldn't really tell ya if its true or not but it sure sounds nice.

The Briley spherical allows you to get down to .001 clearance on your barrel/bushing fit. The spherical insert pivots with the barrel eliminating the clearance needed on a fixed bushing. I will NEVER be able to shoot good enough to tell you it helps, but in theory, it makes sense.

Oh yeah and if you've never taken apart a 1911 like me when I got my S&W PC 1911 I took it all apart that little bushing deal was a real pain in the ass to get lined back up to get it back on, I had just bought it and was scared to death thinking I had just F-ed it all up. Now I know to just take out the barrel with that whole deal still on it, I leave it the hell alone.

@MidnightFlame since you have both S&W's is the performance center worth the extra money vs the 1911SC E Series? Just curious I have an E Series.
