2 3/4" shells in a 3" chamber. Go or no go?

I am looking into buying a Beretta A400 Xplor Action shotgun and the website states that it only shoots 3" shells. Does anyone own one of these and will they shoot 2 3/4" shells? I know the A400 Xplor Unico shoots 2 3/4", 3", and 3 1/2" but I have found a good deal in the A400 Xplor Action.

I've never heard of a shotgun with a 3" chamber that wouldn't accept 2&3/4", but I've never owned a Beretta either!
