2025 College football thread

Yeah I see that side too, but what does a blowout win versus a no-name team mean?
:whoo:

What does it really prove? How does it show a top tier program is the best team in college football?

Who the heck is Austin Peay.......?
In college football? A blowout against a no name team means as much as a blow out against a top tier team.... absolutely nothing.

Now that it's just junior pro football, it means no more than a Falcons - Jaguars game. I miss the days of my beloved Buckeyes going undefeated only to get destroyed by the SEC.... the way college football once was and still should be.

Don't forget when Utah beat the mighty Alabama, or App state took down the university of pedo doctors... I mean Michigan, and who can forget when South Geogia drained the swamp... it can happen with these smaller schools. And even Auburn got beat by some small school they scheduled for homecoming. Those are always fun :drum:

my favorite game ever was Ohio State beating Alabama in 2015 Sugar Bowl...

I love seeing an underdog win and usually pull for them - as in WF over Alabama or GA State beating TN a few years ago. The ones I complain about are UGA versus Nichols. Nichols has no hope of winning. At least play another division 1A school.

yeah....that was pretty sweeeeet!!! I believe Ga Tech did that to them a couple times.....they don't play Ga Tech anymore.....

If memory serves me correctly, we almost lost that game… something like 24-21 or thereabouts. Small school doesn’t always mean a guaranteed win.

Well we gotta pull for someone that might actually win a game this year.

Kidding RTR!!! but we really are awful this year. Kalen Deboer has got to go.
The report is Bama cant afford to fire him until thevend of 2026 season. His buyout and an other coach would want 7 to 9 million. So you are stuck. Nick realized with the money going to players he can no longer line up with tons of blue chip players on his side line. Bama got knocked off the ball on defense.
