I'm confused.... Why leave before you get a chance to coach YOUR team in the 12 teams playoff? That is a historical event for the Rebels.

I'd stay and finish the season with the team I'd been coaching, then leave if I felt LSU was a much better opportunity. Leaving now says it's all about him and doesn't truly care about the Rebel program. Plus he has no class.

That leaves the Rebels with chaos at a critical time. If they lose early, fans will always wonder what could have happened if he'd stayed and kept the team intact. Seems like a recipe for a bitter end to the season. Just suppose they managed to get to THE title game? Wow... He's walking away from a great opportunity.

Did he assume Ole miss would get beat in the first round? :noidea::noidea:

Did LSU insist he start now, before season end? :noidea::noidea::noidea:

no

it is because he is a giant piece of ****. I feel bad for the seniors that signed up with him and took this journey with him. He pretty much told these young men that he didn't give a **** about them or if they win.

I hope he dies in a fire.

He wanted to stay and finish this year with the Rebels. Ole Miss said "pound sand". Allegedly they were afraid he would essentially be recruiting the existing good players (like that won't happen anyway? )
So, you have the battle of an ego maniac, Lame K. and a jilted lover, Ole Miss. Who wins? Nobody (except Lame and his agent's bank account). Who loses? The Ole Miss players and fans.
To me Lane is like Trump. Even if I like 95%+ of what he does on the job, and even most of his trolling, he's just an unlikable, untrustworthy douche.

And a cuck. Part of his contract with LSU is to let all seniors on the team have a go with his wife. Same for ole Miss players. they get to have a turn as well.

Saw some Ole Miss fans over on Reddit saying they are going to buy a bunch white t-shirts and black sharpies and sell free hand Kuck Lane Fiffin shirts to fans at the first playoff game.

Dude is going to catch hell every time they play Ol Miss. 🤣🤣

But, he's your douche, now.
And if he wins, all will be forgiven.

I'd be fine with a rule that a head coach could not voluntarily leave for another coaching job, until their current season is over.
