2025 College football thread

You guys notice how the talent is more divided across all teams nowadays vs in the day when one team was supremely dominant.

I guess we owe that to the NIL and transfer portal.

College football is actually challenging to our teams now. Seems like a good thing to me.

Any given Saturday we can be beat by an unranked team. It makes all games seem important.

Nil and the transfer portal is the restrictor plate of NASCAR many years ago to present college football. We had Bill Elliot to thank for that, maybe Nick, Kirby, and Ryan Day for today.

Georgia will never do anything until they fire Bobo. I’ve said it for 3 years, the stupidity play calling is horrendous. I believe he thrives on coming back from behind to make himself looks good. Play 4 full quarters every time you hit the field.

Bobo, Searles, and Schumann are good, not great coaches. If you had a team in bad shape, they would be great improvements, but not Championship coaches. As you mentioned, they seem to have a philosophy of “let’s see what the other team does first” and then adjust after getting behind. I’m not as anti Bobo as many are, but I liked how Monken did a better job of attacking the entire field.

It’s like this Ga ran 4 1 & plays 3 times in the red zone defense had held Bama no points in 2nd 1/2 but Smart didn’t have enough sense. Kept running plays up
Middle into brick wall .Ga got decent field goal kicker 3x3 equals 9 those 9 points would won the game. I think any half way coach would went for the field goals. Ga struggled with Tn. Hope Kentucky beats their a&$$ might see change then

Well Vandy couldn’t get done refs stole a touchdown from them on a fumble Vandy recovered took It in for TD. They first called TD but changed their minds. Bama move up in standings now. Ga want move any yeah Ga won but Ky wildcats didn’t have much to offer.
