I tried the apex. I liked the feel but the reset was slow. I'm not sure but i think I'm back to the apex kit with the stock return spring.
I can't remember the weights if the Wolff springs I liked. I want to say 15 and 8.

i like the Apex mainspring with the stock rebound spring.

Installed the springs from Wilson Combat. This is my first time fiddling with a revolver like this so there was a bit of a learning curve. You Tube got me through it. If you don't have any proper tools, please don't try this yourself. If you do give it a shot, just take your time. It's pretty easy once you get it figured out. Trigger feels very reasonable right now and I will take it out for a test fire tomorrow. Initial impression is I wish I had done this years ago.
Which spring combination did you decide to go with?

Changed grips to VZ 320. They're an improvement over the OEM grips, I think, but the price is pretty steep. Also painted the front sight with some nail polish to try it out. If I like it, I think I will need to redo it if I want it to hold up a bit. A new holster is ordered but there's a 20 week backlog. Pretty much done with the 642 for now. Went from being my least favorite pistol to a good summer option.
Have you shot the gun with the new grips?

What holster do you have on order?
