22 LR Encore rifle

Very cool! Thanks for adding the picture. I can’t imagine that will be high on new T/C’s priority list once they start getting new guns and barrels on the market, so it’ll likely remain rare and valuable!

If I sell it I'll probably just get out of Encore entirely. I got rid of my Contender stuff a couple of years ago. The only thing left is a black stock set , the 22 rifle and the best looking set of Encore grips that I've ever seen. I was told several years back to list them in an auction with a $400 reserve. Never found out anything about them either.

I've had a half dozen 22LR barrels. Had a 28" Pro Hunter that was an absolute tack driver that you had to use pliers to pull the case from the chamber. What was really amazing was how quiet it was - you could hear the action working and barely a whisper from the round. Currently sitting on a 15" barrel. They're easy to identify because they have a flat top instead of the rounded barrel.

TC made their chamber off center (top of the cartridge) which supposedly helped increase accuracy. You could buy 22LR from Bullberry, but you had to buy a separate firing pin assembly.

I read yesterday on another forum that they are out of business now. Mine has been shot one round since leaving the factory, now that you mentioned it I recall it was extra quiet. They seem to have made a love of rimfire pistol barrels and few rimfire rifle barrels.
