The BRNO 611 (Super rare) is quite the tack driver with the Winchester Super X 40 gr JHP. Same with the Marlin 922M and the CZ 512.

These three are better than the CZ 457 and a Savage bolt gun I had.

The 40gr and above are better accuracy wise in my experience than the faster lighter weight bullets.

No! I meant 5 shot groups. I was very surprised at the results. If I had some 50 gr. ammo I believe the results would have been better since this barrel seems to like it better. I shot 5 shots of the Savage A22 Magnum ( made by CCI) ammo and 5 shots of Winchester Power Point both of which was 40 gr..

The only .22 WMR I ever owned was a Marlin, SS bbl, synthetic stock. I only had a cheap scope on it, and the gun had a "field grade" trigger that was not light, and had both creep and overtravel.

Still, the gun shot about 2 MOA at 100 yards, and 3 MOA shooting prone across my gear bag at 200 yards.

I got it specifically for nuisance coyotes around my property, and it seemed plenty accurate for such a purpose where any clear shot at an animal would have to be within 100 yards.

Brno 611 was a surprise at how accurate it was.

Bergara is the most accurate for me now.

The accuracy seems to varie from ammo lot to ammo grain/brand per rifle.

My .17 hmr rifles have the more consistent accuracy per rifle in my experience.

Yes, I have shot two other people's 17 rimfire rifles with scopes at 100 and 200 yards. In neither case did I have a true benchrest set up but it was stable enough that I could feel confident and the distances involved were long enough that if the gun were inaccurate I would've noticed.

RESULTS: I think these guns generally shot tighter groups or hit small targets more reliably than my 22 magnum would under the same conditions.

I shoot squirrels with a Marlin bolt action, tube feed. Don`t know the moa, but I consistently nail squirrels at 80-85 yards, using sticks. This with 40gr CCI mags. I use this rifle due to accuracy and the good chance a hog drops by.

Well I was board this afternoon and decided to treat the barrel with JB bore paste and then Flitz bore polish. So afterward I tried a couple of ammo selections I had on hand that never really **** that good out of my Savage Mark ll. In fact it shot horribly. Well to my surprise it tightened up the grouping in those two kinds dramatically. The ammo it really likes is Winchester 50 gr. ammo and 1 or 2 other 50 gr. ammos which I can't remember which ones they were.

So to test the barrel treatment I moved the target back to 75 rather than my usual 50 yards and was very surprised at how that barrel treatment worked. These two selections of ammo really responded to it. Last time I shot it at 50 with these two it was not pretty. I really was skeptical that this barrel treatment would do anything at all but it really worked. Here is two 5 shot groups off a wobbly shooting platform and a horrible trigger. I think they could have been a lot better under better shooting conditions. The process did work a lot better than I thought it would so I am a believer. This is well under 1 inch at 75 yards. It wouldn't have done this before and especially with this ammo..

JB paste in gray and pink are really good barrel and bore treatments. I use Honaday 22 mag ammo and have been very pleased with constant accuracy over the Winchester.

I have a Marlin 25 that I take headshots only with squirrels, I sighted it in at 50 yards since that's about the farthest shot I take hunting. It pops their melon every time I do my job. I need to put it on a bench but it's been extremely accurate.
