.22 WMR VS. Fox (Graphic photos)

So my grandmother calls me and tells me her 2 cats have gone missing and that a litter of Foxes have taken up under my grandfathers old shed. Tells me there is a Mama and 3 little ones that she has seen. Said she saw a "Very Big One" one time which im assuming is the dad. She also says that two of them have TWICE have run up to within a few feet of her makin a growling noise. Thats the part that concerned me as they normaly avoid humans. She is 86 years old and lives by herself so last thing I need is one of them tripping her up out in the driveway.

Stopped by today and posted up about 40 yards from the Shed. Figured if I could smack atleast one of them the Mama would move the litter elsewhere. Well this one and another one came out from underneath the shed. Popped both of them with the .22 Magnum. GOOD LORD that 30 Grain Hornady VMax bullet does some SERIOUS damage. Here is a pic of the first one I got. Second one I hit took the head almost completely off so I didnt wanna post that pic as its a little disturbing. Lol.

Hopefully they will move on. If not, I'll be back.

And to think there's still folks around that claim the .22 Mag is antiquidated and useless since the introduction of the .17HMR.

My uncle shot a fella breaking into his business, hit him in the knee with a 22 Mag, they had to amputate his leg.

Yep, its a .22 Magnum. My brother has a 17 HMR and it pales in comparison to the knockdown power of my .22 WMR. Its a little bit faster, flatter shootin bullet. But for pure knock your peter in the dirt power I take the 22 Mag hands down. I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some .22 Magnum. Lol!!!!
