What exactly do I need to change my dpms 223/5.56 ar-15 to 6.5 Grendel?

They pretty much said it. You have to have the barrel and bolt match up for 6.5G and grab a few of the 6.5G specific mags to run it properly and of course 6.5G ammo

Yup. Type II barrel that comes with a bolt or BCG.

Yea what they said,but me personally just buy the follower and the bolt( type 2)and just swap out. The barrel a must tho. Side note,if ur planning on running steel,gone and get a enhanced/extended firing pin

I’m pretty sure that 762x39 mags are more appropriate for 6.5 since the cartridge shares the same parent case.

I haven’t tried 6.8 spc mags but they may work.
