Meh my processor only charges $5 to gut the deer. That's worth it to me as it is a 15 minute drive from the lease.

Savage Axis youth model.
The stock is slim and easy to grip for folks with smaller hands. The Axis rifles have good reviews. My buddy got one in 308, and his only complaint was the cheap
scope it came with. I have had Savage 110s and 111s and they are fine deer rifles.

If you get a new Axis youth model in .243 and save the box and paperwork, you can probably sell it for almost what you paid, if wife loses interest in it.

Thanks guys I bought a youth model mossberg Bantam today from Academy. Got out the the door Gun, ammo, rings, and scope for $388.00 so I in good shape let's hope she sticks with it.
