Brownells has been selling the same one with a Burris PEPR cantilever mount for $329. The mount runs about $65-70, so the scope cost is around $260, also with free shipping and no sales tax.

$360 now. You can get the strike eagle and vortex mount from optics planet for 379.99. Or order it from amazon and save like 12 bucks.

I've looked through the strike eagle and compared it to my Burris Mtac and the Vortex Viper PST. It's not bad for it's price range but IMO for 100 bucks more the Burris or Vortex Viper PST 1-4 has MUCH Clearer glass and way better light transmission.

If your on a tight budget the strike eagle isn't a bad buy but if you can swing just a little more the Viper PST 1-4 PST is much cleaner. They do have the new Vortex Viper PST 1-6 but it's in the $650 range...

Another one that is slated to hit the shelves end of march/april is the Burris RT-6 scope 1-6. It is japan glass and the same as the MTAC line but lighter, shorter, with their AR reticle instead of the CQB. Looks very attractive MSRP at $419.00 but Optics planet has it at $350 (pre order?)

I'm in the market for a scope for my ar build I'm finishing, I was pretty set on the Viper-PST for the price and clarity but I may have to wait for the new burris and see how it is.

Will have to see before I buy, could be budget priced and budget glass, until I have one in hand and can compare I won't know but I do have high hopes.

I have one mounted on a CZ 550 in 375 H&H mag.
I love it, qd rings and no zero loss. Reticle is easy to use and the illumination works well. Ample eye relief for heavy recoil.
