3 States Just Made a Huge Move to ABOLISH Concealed Carry Permits

I have a hard time believing anything like this will happen in GA; not because of the gun thing but because of the money the state gets off permit fees.

Does the state really generate that much income from the issuance of permits? ...particularly since the renewals only generate $30 every five years. By the time the probate court has additional staff and space and furniture, create the card and mail it out, fingerprint and background check for new permit holders, for maybe $80 for a five year permit, it doesn't seem like the state will net a lot of income from the issuance of permits.

I know we have a bill going hopefully it passes but yes they make a lot of money on it and $30 renewals are only in your area. My 5 year renewal was $75. If it doesn't go through I'm going to get the Utah non resident permit probably. Hopefully S. Carolina recognizes us as well

Have you renewed since the passage of HB60 last year?

Someone was telling me that they heard there is a bill coming up to require a mandatory class a la SC. They heard the class is in the $800 range. I haven't verified this rumor though.
