i recently replaced my unit and i still got the old 3 ton goodman package unit just sitting in my garage...
The service tech said the coil was bad so it could be replaced or just scrap the unit
i got a good deal on a new unit so i just replaced it
i have no desire to scrap it out so if anyone wants it just come and pick it up

man I wish you were closed to me .. I need this .. we havnt had AC for acouple years now..hope someone who needs it gets it..

Man I wish you were closer and I would come scrap it for ya. Just a heads up for anyone who is thinking about scrapping it: With out a GA warm air license, you are going to have a hard time getting rid of the coils. The compressor they will take no problem (approx 17.5 cents/lb last I checked).Fullyloaded, you may can scrap it yourself if you have the receipt from the new unit. That is the one loophole that I know of.

Just trying to save someone some gas money and an afternoon of frustration. Me and my coworker learned this the hard way when we tried to scrap some coils.
