30-30 Scope recommendations

I have a marlin 30-30 and wonder what kind of scope I should but on it. I was looking at the cabelas lever scopes but reviews are not too good. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. The rifle will be used for deer hunting.

I like the Leopold 2.5 Ultralite. A good 1x-4x would also be OK.

I have a Leupold Hog Scope, does great for up to 100 yards. Great eye relief as well as crystal clear picture. Also it is easy to get on target and I feel with the 30-30 being good for about 100 yards this does the job nicely. Plus it allows one to use the iron sights as well, given the proper scope mounts.

I used a Fixed 4 power wheni hunted with a marlin 30-30. Did everything i needed. Look at vortex diamondback.

One piece base mount with a four power Nikon will do the job nicely. I have shot some of the smallest groups with low power scopes and with the 30-30 that is all you need, only advantage with a 3-9 ect would be for checking the size of rack or to see if it is a doe.
