300 marines trapped at al-asad air base

Hmm, 300 Marines? Sounds like isis is outnumbered!

Seriously though, I hope there is a rescue mission being formulated! Get our troops the hell out of there!

**** yeah! That's what I'm talking about. There had better be some air strikes forth coming to wipe out that entire city before a US soldier is captured, tortured and dies at the hands of ISIS.

I was beat to the fact Brian Williams will show up and resolve this with a helicoptor with it's tail shot off.

On a more serious note, this along with many other issues still makes me question the loyalties of the commder in chump. With the fact we are still drawing down our forces (at the same time our enemy is still recruiting), we loose personnel of this maganatude (with no retaliation), kick out the good Soldiers, promote the ones that don't question the system, let our borders become imagionary, try to take our weapons away.... and yet he still holds his office.

Yep.

At least 1 battalion of The 82 could be there in 12 hours. Several SEAL teams and a Marine detachment could be there in an hour from a carrier group. Hell the girl scouts could be there in a day. What will POTUS do?

I remember reading the Marine detachments are getting back on the carriers. In the 70's there was only about 45 of us. I wonder how many there are now and what they do. I understand our big sticks were taken off the carriers in the early 90's when the last Marine detachment was removed from service. What they even do now I have no idea. I can't picture there's many more then a platoon.

A platoon adds 10% to the fight.

5th Group can be there in a couple of hours.

I'm in if you're going.
I can probably still sweet talk my way back into country. I did it once before. That is how I got the name Bypass. Just need to figure out where to start. We could probably fly into Riyadh And drive to the border from there. Just need to figure out how to get our weapons in country. Sure we could pick up AKs in Iraq for 15 bucks but I really want to carry my Rem 700 and a ass load of ammo.

Considering this happened last nightI hope there is SOMEBODY else there already. If not, that's really not good. I wonder if POTUS will even address the issue.
not until he finishes the back 9 and caps off the round of golf with a Arnold Palmer....you know, priorities first man
