40+ Officers & ATF Agents Raid Home of FPSRussia

He makes money off of Youtube views.

Which isn't the same thing as selling a video. Now if I were to take some video of a blast and sell it I must get the proper permit to do so. However if I upload them to my youtube account and you view them and I get paid for the viewership is that the same thing? I think not.

He doesn't SELL his videos. THEY are viewed for FREE unless YOU pay to view YOUTUBE videos.

Such business uses include manufacturing for use in commercial blasting applications, removing obstacles such as trees or rocks during construction, theatrical special effects, and for demonstration or product testing purposes.

If he makes money of it, and it is one of the above uses, he has to have an additional license.

I agree.

I was wrongly assuming that you didn't know he received money for views.

Posting a video and posting it for profit are two different processes entirely. One is clearly with the intent to make money, you can't accidentally get paid for your youtube video views.

Actually HE doesn't have to have such, the blast master does. And by the way I shot explosives for nearly ten years without any such permit. The company I worked for had the permit.

Many many days I wished I had a video camera...

Of course you didn't need it you worked for a company with it. FPSRussia either needs his company(if he has one), Himself, or a contracted blaster at each scene to have a license for blasting for theatrical effects.

That said these are not the big boy explosives, just tannerite, so I doubt he's bringing explosive experts in. Either way, since he is the one in business, it is his responsibility to make sure he is either hiring a blaster with the correct permits or that he has the permits.

While I don't wish death on them, Ruby Ridge did waken some people up to the threat of government gone wild. funny part is that the ones punished for suspending the standard rules of engagement at Ruby Ridge were transferred to the same offices that later got involved in Waco.
