Remingtons site say the frame is cast rather than forged. Not really sure what all that means, but it seems most ppl prefer the forged frames.

Forged is stronger from what I understand. Ruger revolvers are cast though and they definitely can surpass the durability of most or all other revolvers BUT they are way thicker and heavier. So they overbuild them to make up for the lack of forging. Kinda like what Ford is doing with aluminum. The reason I went out and brought a real F150 before they became coke cans.
