.45 vs 9mm

Once I run out of 308 and 12 gauge from my long guns, not gonna care if it's 9 or 45 for the last ditch effort.
I shoot with a surgeon that gets a lot of 9mm gun shot wounds at Grady, so he operates on a lot of 9mm wounds.
He said he almost never operates on a 45 victim. He said they don't let him work on dead people. Oh and he carrys a 45

You might not like it but true story. Roger may be exaggerating for the fun of it when people ask him why he carrys a 45 but, that's the story he tells.
They each have their advantages. I have a Shield in both 9 and 45. In slow target practice, I can hit equally well with either. In rapid fire, 9mm wins hands down due to quicker time back on target. As someone who has worked in a ER, the 45 does seem to be more lethal, and in the Shield it only holds one less round.
