458 SOCOM ammo

Your scope should be fine. Recoil is similar to a shotgun and depends a lot on how heavy your bullets are. I don't use mine much but it's a great conversation piece at the range. Puts a grin on everyone's face that shoots it. Reloading is a big help on the expense of ammo.

I have the Nikon P223 on mine and it's been fine. Ventura Munitions has the best deals on ammo. SBR is in Brunswick and theirs is good but expensive and you pay GA tax. They told me I could come pick some up but I got the feeling it would have to be a sizable amount

I was thinking about giving this ammo a shot.

I met a great ODT'er earlier and he gave me 5rnds of Corbin 300grn. But their website says to only use it with CMMG Anvil rifles, so now I'm second guessing the function test with those rounds. Have y'all ever tried them?

I have not tried Corbon or the Black Butterfly. I have used SBR, Ventura and hand loads from a gun show, ranging from 300 gr to 425 gr. All have functioned flawlessly in my .458 upper from Radical Firearms. It was $600 shipped. It took a while but I've been happy with it.
