4runner owners

You didnt mention the year, if its a 95 or older, be very cautions getting it with the 3.0 V-6
they were defective, and blow head gaskets regulary.

the 96 and newer 3.4 V-6 usually will last forever.

we recently sold our 96 with 299K on it,
ran very good, all the rubber suspension bushings front and rear, were worn out, but engine and trans were still good.

only sold it cause we outgrew it, had to get something bigger. wound up with an expedition, which oddly enough doesnt use much more gas than the 4runner. it gets 2 mpg less than the yota.

When you need to replace the front rotors when they warp,( happened to mine about once a year) replace the rotors and calipers with ones from a 1st gen Tundra., its a bolt on deal, and they are large enough to not overheat.

yotatech.com will have lots of info.

I know of a guy trying to sell his 98, has a solid axle in front, a double transfer case, and air lockers front and rear,
