YOu guys that got "invalid" did you create a new account or did you sync with your existing account? Maybe that's the problem? I'm not going to bother for $5. But I wonder if that would help.

I just downloaded the app and signed in to my regular account. I thought the $5 was just for using the app, not necessarily signing up a new account.

That's what I thought. I may very well have used the app in the past and just forgotten about it. I don't remember much past a week ago.

Ah, hold the phone! You DON'T enter it as a promo code. You have to enter it via a convoluted series of steps. I did get it to work. Here's what you have to do:

-Open the app
-Click on the menu drop-down
-Click on "Your Account"
-Scroll down to "Personalized Content" and click on "Invite Friends"
-In there, there should be a button that says something about claiming a code. Enter it there and they'll ask you to verify your phone number (they'll text a verification code to enter.)
