500 yards with a 22lr pistol

22 Plinkster isn’t one of the internet shooters that I doubt. He’s pretty good.
My ballistics app says a max range out of a pistol (assuming 900 fps and a 40 gr. bullet) is roughly 900-1200 meters. There are plenty of other variables that could affect performance.
I bet he couldn't do it with any repeatability....
He is the one I watched . He started at 300 yards and didn’t do well. but at 250 yards he was popping it every time.
When I used to participate in silhouette matches at old PIB Riverbend, there was a guy (gunsmith) who would occasionally shoot with a .38 snub nose revolver. Still cleaned my clock.
Those matches always tickled me, some guys would come last minute, look to see who was signed up, and would pass if they thought they couldn't win.

Having watched a lot of his stuff over the years, I wouldn't volunteer to stand down range and find out.
I'd love to see him do it again with tracers.
