I`m in. Lost my Father in 1981 when I was 21. He was Navy in the Pacific during WW2. I had some great years with him in my teens, hunting and fishing, he took us 8 kids everywhere. He was a good man. Devoted his life to his patients and family. Rest in peace Dad. Prayers for those whose Fathers are not with them either, and for those who still are.

In. My dad was a 6'6" 380 lb mountain of a man. Loved getting on his Harley and hitting a few bars along the way. I lost him too early but know it was his lifestyle that did him in. He passed on 7/4/04 5 months after the Birth of his granddaughter. She looks a lot like him but never got to see him. We weren't close but the older I get the more I realize that he loved me from a distance. On the flip side I was able to have a great relationship with my stepdad. There's a difference between a father and a dad. I was lucky. Many great male role models took up with me as a kid so I was able to pull traits/characteristics from different men without guilt. Happy Fathers day Rex rip, and dad'd day to all of those men that took up with a guy like me.

Count me out. My "dad" was an alchoholic and a wife beater. He left when I was 6 and my only memories of him were bad. When I was 10 my mom called me in and sat me down and told me my daddy had died. My only response was "OK, can I go back outside and play?" The only thing fathers day means to me is another reminder to never be my dad.

So y'all with good fathers or the memories of them, cherish them even more and remember what a blessing they are compared to what might have been.

I don't need the ammo so re-draw if by chance I'm the winner but wanted to chime in on what an amazing, unselfish, and devoted father I was so fortunate to have until cancer and stroke took him 5yrs ago. I'm not a father and never will be, but always hoped I'd be a great as father as he, had my life went that route. Semper Fi Dad and thanks for everything.

My Dad is still around. He just retired this year. Been hoping that would lead to him coming around more to spend time with me and my 3 sons. It hasn't gone that way as of yet, but still hopeful. Blessed that he is still alive. Happy Fathers Day! I'm in.

My Dad is an Army vet '59-'62....spent his time in Karlsrue, Germany. He misses it everyday and says it was the best time of his life.

He is a father of 4, and he retired from Delta Airlines as a baggage handler. Hes been retired since '93.

He taught me to shoot with my Red Ryder BB gun.
