I am just wrapping up buying all the components to start. The shell holder, a few different powders and misc. things. I have Berger 130 gr. VLD pills and I am waiting on my Hornady 140 SST pills now. The powders I will be starting out with is H4831, N565 and H1000. I am wondering which powder will be better for the lighter projectiles and also the heavier 140 grain jobs. I am hoping someone has fooled with any of there combos and can save me a little time and energy and put me on the right path. How about it anybody have delt with this before?

My Hornady Lock and Load shell prep center gears disintegrated because they're made of nylon plastic or something like that. So I ordered the set of steel replacement gears on eBay for 13 bucks. Hopefully I can get that back in service here soon enough. I swear with relaoding there is always just one more thing I have to buy to keep going. It's a non-stop and ongoing saga.

I am going to give the 10 round ladder test/round development a whirl as soon as I get my rifle back
I just discovered Norma Whitetail 140 gr. Bonded soft point and it's only 36 bucks a box. My barrel loves that ammo. My goal is to replicate that round as close as possible. My rifle shoots that ammo stupid accurate so I ordered 4 more boxes of it. It should be some good brass to reload. I think I will start out with the 140 gr. pills first with all three powders and see how each works out.

General rule of thumb from some of the best shooters and reploaders in the world say to always use the slowest (On a burn rate chart) as possible and it will 9 times out of 10 yeild the best accuracy and ES SD numbers
