6.5 PRC Reloading

For factory offerings my Seekins shoots the Hornady 143 precision hunter under 1/2 minute very consistently.
I load the 143gr Hornady eldx in ADG brass over RL-23 and a CCI primer. I don't
remember the exact charge but I'm running it 3050fps out of a 24" tube.

H 1000, RL-23,25,26, N565 are all good powders for the 140 class bullets, most people get better es/sd using a large rifle primer instead of a magnum primer in the 6.5 prc.

If I were starting load work on another right now I'd start with H1000 just for the semi consistent availability.

Also if you are wanting to run mono's look at Hammer bullets. Those guys have great info on every bullet they sell and they are very easy to work a load up for. Not cheap but high quality.

I read I one of the sites for shooters that a lot of guys ( many, many reloaders ) were seeing excellent results with H4831sc. Which is what Jeremy Braddy mentioned in the previous post. It has excellent availability from what I have seen. I think I will pick up some of that and the H1000 and try a few with my 140 Berger VLD Targets.

4831sc should be a real good one. Probably won't be the best for the heavier stuff but it will be good for 140s. It is a very stable powder from my experience.

This is a typical 3 shot 100 yard group with the 4831sc 156 Berger cci large mag. Primer.
