99 Mercury Grand Marquis leaking near rear driver side tire.

I recently bought a 99 Mercury Grand Marquis. Everything has been cool till today. I went out and there is a puddle of fluid under the driver rear tire. I checked the brake fluid reservoir and it seems to still be full, and the brake pedal feels as firm as normal. Any ideas? It is translucent with a yellowish hue.

That would be Super thick and probably not yellow..

Depends who owned it

Fresh gear oil has yellow tint in some brands when new

Not all gear oil is super thick

It has a bit of a sour smell, but not like sulfur.
