9mm SBR opinion?

Friend and i are debating 9mm SBR options. Looking to end up w a semi 9mm SBR....(cant afford or justify auto now)
Options:
Pay more and just buy factory built...
Buy seperate lower and upper and build own on form 1....
Buy 9mm pistol setup and form 1 it...
Go with glock mag lower or other...

If i could afford an H&K mp5sd would go that route- but have to have a house, car, wife, etc......
Looking for suggestions and ideas.

I built one using a Black Creek Precision lower on my SBR -- it runs like a top. One caveat if you want the bolt held open on the last round -- you need to use a long nose bolt catch with the nose ground down to allow it to clear the magazine. It is really fun to shoot -- no real recoil and really accurate. JMHO

My AR pistol is a safe queen now, love th CZ pistol with suppressor and 147gn. I have too much money in AR to sell unless I have too. Two point sling on CZ and I'm happy, im waiting on a good deal before i decide to sbr it.

There's a good possibility if u change the bolt and buffer to the complete JP system, it could clear everything up and the bolt most likely won't break. :becky:
What he said. Running this in 3 different 9mm builds One is a quarter circle 10 colt mag lower with a 4.5" barrel with 9" integral suppressor. Yjese is a funnnnn gun !

Love my 9mm AR pistol. Runs great suppressed and unsuppressed with glock magpul and ets mags. The 50 round drum is a pos. I am running the solid heavy buffer and a sprinco orange spring.

Wood stock M11-9.jpg
If you are on a tight budget, and you intend to shoot at 30 yards or closer most of the time, consider getting a closed-bolt semi auto Cobray or SWD m11 in 9mm. If you ever get the SMG version (about $5K these days, I think), it will use the same magazines, screw-on barrel extensions, barreled upper receivers, real or fake silencers and flash hiders, etc.
This would be a pistol that you buy, then Form 1 it into an SBR by adding a stock. I recommend a real wood stock, like a Tommy gun would use. Then get a longer-barreled upper (9" bbl. instead of 5" or whatever is standard), or use the standard 5" upper but always screw-on an 8" long fake suppressor or ventilated-shrouded barrel extension for a solid grip for your supporting hand.

P.S. The sights on these Cobray / SWD guns are crude, but you can always buy a clamp-on Weaver base and add your own optics. My SWD submachine gun wore a 50mm red dot sight on one of its long-barreled uppers.
This isn't my gun, but mine looked a lot like this, with a similar optic on top.
