A little confused...

So, my friend went down to our hunting land today to refill the feeder and found this. Its fresh. Is it a scrape or just a random spot on the ground that happens to have deer prints in it? Also has a licking branch above it.

Kinda early for a scrap put a trail camera on it and see what's going on.

weather has been kinda crazy a little cool for August. I have seen scrapes out in Colorado in early August Not sure for GA.
Forgive me if I am a bit out of my element here

That screams mature/dominant buck. Every August scrape I've ever found, then hung a cam over, was being worked by a bachelor goup with one old stud being the ring leader.

Hang a cam ASAP, as the summer to fall transition will probably move the bucks onto other areas soon.

Hung a stand close by and stuck a can on it to see. Its in an area of interest anyways

Could be a Big Boy.I have seen 3 large bucks with separate herds of Does over the last 2 weeks.Days are getting shorter and the time is coming!
