What the h_ll was the parrot doing in Iran??

It was taken to Iran from Australia by a visiting Imam who was preaching in Australian mosques that Islam is the religion of peace, especially if you get rid of all the gays and non believers. He took the parrot because he liked the pretty colours and was bored with goats. How do you think it got into such appalling condition?
