A newer truck

I plan on it. I also know it depends on if I want to do it or just get something else
If you really like the truck and it's been good to you. Thing is, the problems are just starting. If you buy a new one, it ain't gona be any better. You buy an older in excellent condition one, you could drive it indefinitely as long as you could get parts. And you'd have a solid vehicle. Will it be as fast as a new one, no. Will it ride better than a new one, no. Will it tow or haul more than a new one, no. But you'll smile every time you ride by a new one broke down on the side of the road.

I'd get rid of that bomb. Just sayin. I'd get an older truck with a V8. You start pushing extra HP out of an engine and you're asking for problems. Just the way it is. I couldn't in my right mind recommend any new vehicle. That's why I said older. Nothin and I mean nothin makes any sense about these new ones. Nothin

Extremely untrue. My vehicle has a 2.0L eco boost. It’s had full bolt on’s and a tune since 100 miles. It currently has 170k and I’d get in it to drive across country tomorrow.

Have fun. Another 170k and that vehicle won't be fit to grow potatoes in. Mean while I'm still running down the road......Just sayin

I have had 3 v8 old school chevy 5.7's and got 300k out of all of them on the same motor and transmission before selling them. Had to switch over to Toyota Tundra's when they starting cutting to many corners on the chevy's.

Please raise your hand or start a poll if your have gotten 300k on a Ford Truck. I would like to look for one like you had.

94 F250 with a 460. Still going strong. Also the in line 300 6cyl, 302 and 351. The 7.3 Dura Max is good too. You will replace the trany. That 6cyl trans would probably last better. Or get a stick.
The best lasting truck is the Dodge with a Cummins. Best motor ever in anything. I'm not talking a half ton truck. 3/4 or 1 ton, you'll be good to go. Pre 2007. The trans is only good for 100k+. So stick if that's an issue.
Nothin wrong with a good GM as well. An older one

Just get a new one. I just bought a new Tacoma. Life is too short to worry about vehicles. Yes I know all the new ones have problems. I have read all the forms and regardless of any manufacturer some are going to be junk. One day I will be too old to drive and at that point I really will not care about which one is best. Have owned all makes in the past 40 years. I am almost to the point once the factory warranty runs out I start looking for something else. Not the best financial sense but who cares.

I have 360,000 on my 2000 Ford Excursion and it's still running like a top. I drive it to NY at least 8 times a year to go fishing and I wouldn't hesitate to run it cross country tomorrow.
