It'd do a lot of folks good to move along and find that particular item somewhere else , even when it's a hard to find item. Especially if it's an open ad . I've noticed ignoring such items (not making any effort to comment on such ad makes the price go down....usually) . My2 . And IMO , if you're not ATF you should mind your business ; you never know (no matter what they say in the ad) why someone is selling something . EDIT: It would be cool to call someone out if they're way over though LOL

imagine thinking you should be able to tell another man how much he can sell his property for? imagine thinking you should be able to tell the owner of the site what his rules should be? Imagine thinking the owner cares about your opinion?

I don't really come here to ODT to buy, sell, and trade. I have, a few dozen times over the last 7 years, but that's not my primary purpose, SO KEEP THIS IN MIND when I say:

If I were interested in that, I don't think I'd bother visiting a website that had very few good deals and a bunch of overpriced guns. I wouldn't register there and become a "member" and I certainly wouldn't pay to be a supporter.

If any website that's about selling or swapping guns wants to get a lot of traffic, I think it would be BENEFICIAL to limit bad deals, price gouging, shady deals (people seeming to want to buy crime guns, off the record, because they know they can't pass a background check at an FFL dealership), or unreasonable conditions on the sale (must give copy of your D/L and SS card, a blood sample or cheek swab DNA...)

I'd like to see every B/S/T post here have a public voting option where the rest of us can vote on how good or bad of a deal you're offering. On a scale of 1-10, or maybe just 1-5. Call it a five-star rating if it's a smoking good deal, or one star if it's a full MSRP suggested retail price. Zero stars if the seller / trader wants even more from it !

Every user here (even unregistered non-members) should see the current group value rating for all ads they look at, and us MEMBERS should be able set our settings to automatically hide ads that have a low rating--below a certain number that we choose.

I get what the OP is saying, but this is a meeting places for buyers and sellers to come together. An open market. If one seller is selling peaches 2 for a dollar and one is selling 1 for 2 dollars, let them.

You can sail, sell or sale your stuff for whatever you like, it's a free market.
What I don't like is the place turning into an auction site which is where we're at now. The powers that be apparently don't mind because they allow it. More traffic equals more revenue for them.
I don't buy or sale much anymore and my last few purchases have been from stores but I hate to see what was once a great site for trading turn into another armslist or gunbroker.
Oh well, so it goes. Nothing good or bad lasts forever.

Why is it anybody's business what another does as long as no harm is being done? If I sell my house for twice the neighborhood average is that wrong? If a buyer pays too much that's on him, school of hard knocks come to mind. Move on and mind your own business or start your own website with your rules. Life is too short.
