Sometimes I will hit the “Good deal” button just so I can hit the “Not a good deal“ button....try it.

If it’s an overly s****y ad I’ll hit the “Like button” just so I can hit the “Unlike” button....try that too.

A guy posted a common rifle for an outragous price, my response (posted below) got me in a little trouble...couldn't stop myself

I will say this one last time, slowly... for the folks in the back of the room who are clearly not getting it...

Nobody is saying to limit asking prices. If you want to charge $3000 for a used gen1 glock with an awful soldering iron stipple job... because CUSTOM. Feel free. It's a free market, charge whatever dumb price you want, in an effort to gouge your fellow ODT members.

However. I should be allowed to say, "That's crazy" without fear of being censored, censured or banned by a mod.

And I'll say this slowly: Never. Going. To. Happen. Period.

We've never allowed people to trash others pricing, and we're aren't going to change that.

OP, first off, there is no price gouging. A gun is not water, food or gas. You don't have to buy a gun to survive. If you don't like the price, find that item somewhere else. It is really pretty simple, if the price is too high, pass it by. Price gouging is not happening here. What is happening is that a seller or sellers are pricing their property at a price that you do not believe is fair. Well you know, it is THEIR property. You have absolutely no say in the pricing of someone else's property.

BTW, the rules on this site do not allow you to call out members who price their property higher than you like. Remember, when you joined this site, you stated that to be a part of this site you would follow the rules of this site. If you don't like the rules, PM the owner. Last time I looked, he was the only one who could change the rules. Posting in open forum does absolutely nothing to change the rules.

I guess some just want everyone to know that they know what the price should be on every item, and that the owner of the item should fall within their pricing guidelines. I don't understand how anyone is hurt, enraged or pissed off because of the price of someone else's property.

OP, if it not about the ability to price it how you want, and the rules do not allow you to call out members about pricing, what exactly do you want done? Again, you don't like the rules, see the Owner. I am sure he would love to talk to you.

It's not all that often that JWC and I agree, but he couldn't have possibly said this any better.

Isn't this what the 1st Amendment is all about?

No, actually it isn't.

A person should be able to sell an item for whatever they want.............it belongs to them. If priceed to high, it will take care of itself.

A buyer should be able to buy or pass on anything because of price and other reasons.......it is their money.

It ain't none of my business what someone asks or pays for an item.

Exactly. For the life of me I've never been able to understand why this is such a hard concept to grasp.
