Anyone had an issue with an A400 Barrel blowing up?. Bought a brand new A400 beginning of March. Used for a Pheasant Tower Hunt, approximately 50 rounds, then a round of sporting clays with no malfunction or issue. Second round of clays (different day), shooting a true pair, blew out choke tube on first shot then expanded the end of barrel on second shot. Checked the choke to make sure it was tight prior to shooting the stand. Shooting Fiochi 7 1/2's. Just curious if anyone else has had a negative experience with the A400. Did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions prior to choosing the A400, so was very surprised at this happening.

Wow
Only ever heard good for the Berettas

Sounds like the first round wad stuck in the choke tube and the second round swelled the barrel and knocked out your choke tube, i seen it happen but very seldom.

Factory or aftermarket choke tube?

Very interested in the response from Beretta.
Please update when you have more details.

Choke came out on first Shot
Barrel swelled on second shot
Factory Modified or IM tube
Returned to Beretta through my Firearms dealer
Awaiting Response from Beretta.
There was a guy on the stand behind us that looked at it and said Manufacturers Defect. Unsure if he was a dealer or Gunsmith, but definitely very knowledgeable.
My dealer was shocked.

Thanks for the replies.
I will definitely update as word comes from Beretta.

Possibly the wad from last shot on previous stand. Just didn't see it in choke.

UPDATE: As of Friday a week ago, Beretta says not factory default and wants me to purchase a new barrel. Cost online is $979. My dealer can get it a little cheaper. Dealer is still trying to negotiate with Beretta.

What did Beretta indicate caused the issue?
