Get comfortable buddy. This part could last a loooooong time. Go get some food and get ready for life to get real. I have a 6 month old daughter who is great. Labor took 12 hrs. New babies just kinda sleep all day. Enjoy that while it lasts. Take her where ever you go, don't change your life...include her in yours. Life gets more fun in a few months when there personality comes out. All the stuff about having you wrapped around her finger... Is true. All she has to do is smile and all is forgiven. Don't hold her over your face when layin down...your mouth will be puked in. Go get a swaddle blanket, learn the art. Buy diapers in bulk online. Congrats man. I'll think of more stuff... When the doc says " you want to see? Say NO!".... Trust me
First, congrats to you and the mother to be! I hope you have slept all that you ever wanted, because a good nights sleep is over once the child arrives. Oh, and I don't mean just while child is a baby. The sleepness nights will continue the rest of your life. Once you bring another life into this world, you are always worried for the child. But, sleep is way overrated anyway!
Babies are tougher and more durable than you think and dirt helps build their immune system. Also all baby stuff is expensive add baby to anything and the price goes up 25-50%. Your days of sleeping in are gone and travelling sucks you will need a uhaul to take everything your wife will make you bring (ar least with the forst one).
It scary thinking you have a helpless person that you have to provide everything for but there is nothing greater. I have 3 wouldn't change anything for the world. They are worth it all. Good luck.
