Anybody else run into this? Out by Academy today. Bought a couple boxes or 22LR Shotshells. Cashier asked me for ID. I asked the young lady "for what"? She said "for ammunition, store policy". Told her I couldn't help her. I mean, I'm old. No one, no matter how bad their vision, could mistake me for 20, or even 40. It's hard to come face to face with the death of common sense.

Take it up with the actual company corporate people, not the person at the cash register that has nothing to do with writing policy.

Not saying you did, but it pisses me off when I see people getting yelled at for following company guidelines. At least in the private sector………

Pretty standard at any chain store. Computer prompts them. Usually, they just glance and say thank you. If they don't and that happens to be a transaction that's reviewed, they're getting written up.
Ditto.

Plus it’s always been you have to be 18 to get rifle ammunition and 21 for pistol. I think that’s federal regulations.
