I find if you look them in the eye and say no thanks they stop. Moving in front of me to stop me would make for a very rude response.
In situations like that, I tend to identify as a locomotive with no brakes. May or may not make choo choo sounds while I plow.
Stole this line from Costner in Wyatt Earp and have used it to great effect several times. I love the stunned look on some people's faces.

My brother has an email account he uses for folks like this and others similar. whyismysssbleeding. He won a gopro at an event and they called him out of the crowd by his email. Lol. He enjoys giving it to guys just like this.
I'll have to try that next time. Sure seems a lot easier and a little less messy than keeping chunky peanut butter in a baggie in my back pocket and reaching back like I'm digging for Mississippi mud and smearing it on my face while maintaining eye contact.
