Acorns, Hickory Nuts & Hard Hats

They are falling heavy and loud in Northeast Bartow
more than last year
and a Hickory Nut will but a knot on your head, they're as big as a Cue Ball
there are so many Acorns & Nuts that if your walking up a ridge and slip you will go all the way to the bottom like if you were on Ball Bearings

Seems every tree is loaded in Macon County also our pics at feeders have cut in half over last week is also a very good indicator.

my neighbor has told me the same about less activity at the feeder

Our neighbor just put up one of those steel carports. A nice long one for his boat and a couple trailers. His spot of choice—well, a nice, full grown, extremely tall oak tree.

We aren’t that close to his house but every time an acorn falls from 30 feet up and hits that tin, it sounds like a little gun shot. I don’t think he realized that when he put up the carport 😂

White oaks are dropping early this year in middle GA. Could be a slow year if you depend on corn.

I noticed last Sunday we have lots of black walnuts on the ground! TOoooo
