Gators will walk across the island on occasion. Magnolia trees as mentioned above might be climb able, palm trees will be you other option if you can’t find a pine. If you climb up high on the marshy areas at low tide you will have a good view into the marsh grass. The tides will dictate game movement.We took our own boat.
Main advice would be watch for diamondbacks and gators.
