I was hoping to find someone that maybe has a mini excavator and wants to do some work for an affordable rate, not full retail haha

You could always rent one? A mini excavator isn't too difficult to operate unless it's close to something you don't want to potentially destroy... In that case, definitely hire someone!
This is definitely something I am going to consider depending on how much someone wants to charge
