not to thread jack, but anyone like F1 ? Like Jcountry, I like the road races as it is a true test of skill being able to judge corner speed at different corners, carry out speed etc . (by the way, I do track days on a crotch rocket) so I am kinda biased due to watching passing in corners and the thrill of last minute straightaway's where raw power is not interrupted by a left turn

I do like an F1 race from time to time, the cars are impressive. But, I like the contact which is common to NASCAR. In F1, you may see a little contact, but the cars usually just explode.

(And you may want to turn the volume down. The soundtrack is a bunch of euro-techno-gay crap which is pretty repulsive.)

I love NASCAR too, except for Dannica.

I am already sick of hearing how awesome she is. She is 95% marketing and has the best support and equipment money can buy-but very little skill....

(They even made her one of the anchors for the Bud shootout. WTF?)

-Some people think NASCAR is rigged, and I am not one of them-yet. If Dannica starts doing well, I will be convinced that it is rigged. She looks good, but can't drive her way out of a paper sack.

-Yep-you got it. I hate Dannica! Just go to the NASCAR website, and every single banner ad that pops up has something to do with her. Good god!

-I think the thing that really erks me about her is that she can be a real cry-baby. Not as bad as Kyle Bush, but at least he is a very talented driver. She ain't.

What do you think NASCAR is? Have you looked at the cars. They are rolling billboards. As a matter of fact, that's what all racing is, has been, and will be. So is hunting, fishing, football, baseball, golf, basketball, and just about everything else in this world.

What do y'all think about racing in the rain? I would love to see rain racing. We all drive in the rain, why not let them slug it out for big bucks like we have to on 285 for free?

I just looked at the radar... I don't think they will get this race in today.

Big glob coming across FL again. Unless they stop and start until midnight, I doubt it will happen.

(Race in the rain-you big bunch of Marys! Nothing pisses me off more than setting aside a day for a race only to have to drive home in the rain. If I can drive home in the rain, they certainly could make it around the track a few times. They are supposed to be skilled professionals-and they are getting paid super big bucks to do that. I don't get one red cent to drive home through the terrible, scary, frightful rain.)
